Dujat Networking and Study Trip: Knowledge Sharing and International Cooperation in Japan

For Dujat, the association dedicated to strengthening trade and economic relations between the Netherlands and Japan, sharing knowledge and meeting others is essential. To bring members closer to innovation, expertise, and each other, we organized an international networking and study trip to Japan in collaboration with Dujat from June 14 to 20, 2025, with visits to Kobe and Tokyo.

The trip brought together Dutch and Japanese organizations, experts, and professionals at the very locations where developments are actually taking place.

The occasion: Connecting through knowledge and international cooperation

Dujat has focused on stimulating cooperation between the Netherlands and Japan for many years. An international study trip offers a powerful tool for this: by traveling together, visiting companies, and sharing knowledge, space is created for depth, new perspectives, and sustainable relationships.

The goal of this trip was clear:

  • strengthening the connection between members
  • gaining knowledge about innovation and business operations in Japan
  • deepening networking and cooperation between the Netherlands and Japan

Our role: Guiding in an international context

Dujat and BARENTSZEN have been working together for more than ten years. Within this networking and study trip, our focus was on the logistical and organizational foundation, so that content and connection could take center stage.

Our services included:

  • hotels and transfers
  • train guidance and assistance
  • English-speaking guides and local support
  • luggage transfers between locations
  • participant registration and invoicing

Thanks to this structure, the trip as a whole was solid, allowing participants to focus entirely on the content, meetings, and the program.

The program: Learning, meeting, and deepening

Individual arrival of participants in Japan and the start of the joint journey.

Visit to the World Expo, where participants gained insight into global developments in innovation, technology, and cooperation.

Visit to Kobelco Cranes, followed by a visit to Rokko Mountain and a group lunch. In the afternoon, the group traveled by Shinkansen from Shin-Kobe to Tokyo, an experience that made speed, efficiency, and Japanese infrastructure tangible.

Visit to Nippon Express, followed by a roundtable where knowledge, experiences, and perspectives were shared within the group.

Visit to Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation, concluded with a reception at the residence of the Dutch Ambassador, a moment where business, networking, and diplomacy came together.

Visit to the Nikon Innovation Center, followed by the Dujat Showcase at the Globis Campus. The trip concluded with a joint farewell dinner.

The trip contributed to strengthening the Dujat network and offered participants direct access to knowledge, innovation, and relevant partners within the Japanese market. Through company visits, substantive meetings, and shared moments, a program was created in which learning, connecting, and collaborating reinforced each other.

Want to gain knowledge where your sector is in motion?

We help organizations deepen knowledge within their own industry or sector, at the places where innovation and practice meet. By bringing professionals into contact with experts, companies, and peers, insights are gained that go beyond what you get from a report or online session.

No isolated visits, but programs with a clear substantive line and a logical structure, developed in close cooperation with you.

Please contact us to brainstorm or view more examples of how we bring knowledge, networking, and interaction together in (inter)national programs.
