When professionals spend several days together, a different dynamic emerges compared to a regular networking event. There is time for depth, informal conversations, and new collaborations.
Our approach: a program that encourages connection
Because we understood the purpose of the meeting well, we built the program around moments that stimulate meeting and connection.
What made this project special was that our project manager was both the organizer and a member of the network. As a result, she knew the group well and knew which activities contribute to open conversations and connection within the community.
The program combined shared experiences with plenty of room for spontaneous encounters.
The program: shared experiences in the city
Over the course of four days, the group explored Budapest through a varied program where culture, gastronomy, and joint activities came together.
The participants experienced, among other things:
- a private tour of the opera with a surprising mini-concert
- a city tour of the highlights of Budapest
- a culinary discovery tour of Hungarian specialties
- an exclusive visit to the Hungarian Parliament
- a dinner cruise on the Danube
- a Trabant rally followed by a wine tasting
These shared experiences led to many spontaneous conversations and new connections within the network.
The result: deepening the network
The meeting provided intensive networking moments and strengthened mutual relationships within Business Netwerk Haaglanden.
Precisely because they spent several days together, space was created for conversations that are less likely to take place during a regular networking event.
“One trip where everything comes together! Together with BARENTSZEN, I went to Budapest with Business Netwerk Haaglanden. Seven years of building a network come together in one trip, and what you hope will happen—connection, depth, trust—happened. From inspiring conversations to new collaborations, from laughter to learning."
The best moment? When you notice the energy flowing without having to push. That is the power of a good network. And exactly why I do this with so much pleasure. Thanks to all participants!”
